Auditions for the 2025-2026 season are being held on Saturday, August 16 2025, beginning at 1 pm at Opera Central in St. Petersburg. The audition will include excerpts (provided in advance), and a piece of your choosing, about 2 minutes in length.

Please include the following information:

• Your instrument
• Position desired (Violin I, Violin II, section musician, substitute musician, etc.)
• Informal resume including your musical background experience
• Your contact information (email address, cell number)

Your request for an audition must be received by our Audition Coordinator on or before Sunday, August 3, 2025.

All candidates who submit a complete application (resume and required information) by the deadline will receive an audition time. Applications arriving or remaining incomplete after August 3 may not receive an audition time.

Applications for membership will be reviewed by the Audition Coordinator and the Music Director prior to invitation. New musicians are required to audition in order to become a member unless approved by the Music Director. Members of the Tampa Bay Symphony participate on a voluntary basis and are not paid. Personal practice time will be necessary for the symphony to maintain the highest standard. Each musician is expected to make time throughout the week to practice all music prior to rehearsal and concerts.
