9TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION RESULTS

The International Composition Competition is in its 9th year. This year, we received 53 entries from 14 countries, which were narrowed down to 3 finalists. The 3 finalist pieces selected were:

  • High Flight, by John​ Rotar (Australia)
  • Tampa Bay Flight, by Benedikt Brydern (US)
  • Malagti (Light), by Roger Zare (US)

The Composition Contest finals were held Sunday January 11, 2:30 pm at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Winner of the 9th Annual International Composition Competition:

Tampa Bay Flight, by Benedikt Brydern (US), to be performed Winter 2026

Tampa Bay Flight, by Benedikt Brydern (US) was also the Audience Choice winner.
